Lesson 11: Follower's Double to Duo Turn

In this lesson, you will learn another exciting turn that begins with the follower's double turn and ends with both leader's and follower's turn at the same time. This is a great way to spice up your first dance. 

Don't Forget ...

• In order to lead this turn, leader, you must keep your left hand in front of your body. While you are leading your partner into the turn, stay connected to your partner's right arm and use that connection to lead.

• Follower, make sure to give resistance to your partner and stay connected to his arm while turning. Remember, no "noodle arms!"

Helpful tips

• Practice your arm motion a few times separately before you incorporate the footwork.
