Learning the Steps
After learning all of the essential dance elements, you are now ready to learn the important steps in the choreography! After practicing the steps below, you can move on to the last section of the program, in which we will show you how to connect the steps. Have fun dancing!
Learning the Choreography
Now, let’s put all of the steps you’ve learned together into this lovely routine! To learn the routine, we suggest you learn it in sections. Practice each section without music first and then with music. Also, watch the demo video and use the written instruction listed below for musical cues. Have fun!

Intro (2 sets of 8)
Hands touch + walk in a circle
Bow & Curtsey
Get into two hand hold
Pattern 1 (2 sets of 8)
Front to back hesitation
Side to side hesitation
Front to back hesitation (rotating slightly)
Follower’s outside turn to helicopter
Transition Pattern 1 (2 sets of 8)
Walk around clockwise (4 counts), flip to walk around counter clockwise (4 counts)
Follower lasso around slowly to get side by side (6 counts)
Follower free spin to the left to finish in closed dance frame (counts 7, and, 8)
Pattern 2 (4 sets of 8 , 4 counts of silence)
Rotating Box
Half Box into Inside Turn
Rotating Box
Underarm Turn (outside) into Butterfly
Replace closing the box @ end of Butterfly with duo turn (leader to the right, follower to the left) to face back of floor
Walk 3 steps forward starting with inside foot and hold hands, leader turns to the front (clockwise) to get side by side with follower
Lean with both right arms over the head
Follower turns to the left to open up side by side on silent part
Both look away for 2, look at each other for 2
Pattern 3 (2 sets of 8)
Front to back hesitations side by side (leader starts left forward, follower starts right forward)
Side hesitation into shadow
Left arm over head, both arms over head(counts 7, 8)
Follower turns clockwise with both arms over head
Leader goes under the arms turning over left shoulder
Follower turns clockwise once more (quickly)
Both arms lower to the side
Repeat Transition Pattern 1 (2 sets of 8)
*follower lasso around for 4 counts, leader’s face loop, arms go over the top for free spin*
Repeat Pattern 2 (4 sets of 8)
Highlight (4 sets of 8 + 6 counts)
Side hesitation (together and away- leader left first, follower right)
Hands together and away x2 (arms up on the 2nd one)
Turn to switch sides (leader turn left around the back, follower turns right in front of leader)
Hands together and away
Face loop the follower with leader’s right arm + shift weight to prep for infinity
Infinity
Hesitation (offset of one another- follower on leader’s right side) front to back, then side to side (bring both left arms up to connect)
Walk around clockwise, floating arms down
Follower turns clockwise to get into shadow position on silent part
Pattern 4 (2 sets of 8)
2 rotating shadow boxes
Leader goes under arms to get in front of follower on front half of box, finish back half of box
Follower goes under arms to get in front of leader on front half of box
Follower turns to the left to get back into closed frame, left arm going over leader’s head
Repeat Pattern 2 + Outro (4 sets of 8)
*take out lean*
Follower spins to the left to get to leader’s right side
Walk around counter clockwise to face front
Leader flips the follower to their left to prep for dip
Dip on leader’s left side, release arms to finish (leader’s right arm, follower’s left)
