Learning the Steps
After learning all of the essential dance elements, you are now ready to learn the important steps in the choreography! After practicing the steps below, you can move on to the last section of the program, in which we will show you how to connect the steps. Have fun dancing!
Learning the Choreography
Now, let’s put all of the steps you’ve learned together into this lovely routine! To learn the routine, we suggest you learn it in sections. Practice each section without music first and then with music. Also, watch the demo video and use the written instruction listed below for musical cues. Have fun!

Wait for 2 counts
Walk in for 4 counts in a quick-quick, slow pattern (leader begins on left foot, follower on the right)
Step out to the side on 7, 8
Follower rolls in on 1, 2, 3, 4, additional counterclockwise spin to get into frame on 5, 6, 7, 8
Pattern 1 (4 counts of 8) -
Rumba box
Underarm turn with no finish; after the 1, 2, leader pushes follower out to side by side for 3, 4
Follower rolls into cradle on 5, 6, 7, 8
Lean on 1, 2, 3, 4, come up 5, 6, and return to frame on 7, 8
Pattern 2 (2 counts of 8) -

5th Position break
5th Position break with underarm turn
Swing Pattern (4 counts of 8) -
3 Smooth swing basics
Double face loop
Stay in cross hand hold and lead into shadow position
Typewriter with modified arms
Pattern 3 (4 counts of 8)
Rumba box
Underarm turn with no finish; after the 1, 2, leader pushes follower out to side by side for 3, 4
Leader’s face loop on 5, 6, 7, 8
Double counterclockwise turn for the follower on 3, 4, 5, 6, 7
Follower’s face loop on 8, back into dance frame
Repeat Pattern 2
Repeat Swing Pattern
Ending Pattern 2 (4 counts of 8) -
After swing, stay in cross hand hold (just right hands connected)
Step tap away (left side) then together (right side) on 1, 2, 3, 4
Inside turn for the follower (stay in cross hand hold) option: double inside turn for leader and follower
Step tap away one more time, follower’s outside turn, catch the leader’s left hand in theirs
Quick peekaboo on 7 with leader’s right hand going over the follower’s head; both hands come up and over on second peekaboo on 8
Bring follower all the way around in a matador circle
Lean with leader in shadow
Follower’s inside turn and a half to dip on 1
