Ready to dance? Start with the essential dance elements below.

Learning the Steps

After learning all of the essential dance elements, you are now ready to learn the important steps in the choreography! After practicing the steps below, you can move on to the last section of the program, in which we will show you how to connect the steps. Have fun dancing!

  4. Infinity (only the footwork)

Learning the Choreography

Now, let’s put all of the steps you’ve learned together into this lovely routine! To learn the routine, we suggest you learn it in sections. Practice each section without music first and then with music. Also, watch the demo video and use the written instruction listed below for musical cues. Have fun!

Written Instruction

Intro (2 counts of 8) - 

  • Wait for 4 counts, walk in together for 4 counts

  • Follower continues to walk, leader catches right shoulder with right hand

  • Follower turns clockwise to face leader, leader offers left hand

  • Follower takes left hand, repeat with right hand

  • Two handed turn into arm and arm position


Pattern 1 (2 counts of 8) -

  • Three steps forward, step out to side by side position

  • Spin into cradle position, short lean

  • Follower spins out and takes a step

  • Leader, come up behind follower, cover eyes

  • Follower catches leader’s hands, half spin into dance frame


Pattern 2 (2 counts of 8) -

  • Box step

  • Underarm turn with additional inside turn at the end

  • Box step to transition


Swing Pattern (4.5 counts of 8) - 

  • 2 Single swing basics

  • Outside turn to cradle

  • Sways on (bye-ye-ye) 5, 6, spin out on 7, 8

  • Step together 1, 2, step away 3, 4

  • Leader’s face loop, offer left hand

  • Follower goes under leader’s left arm to side by side on the other side

  • Spin into shadow position on 1, 2

  • Infinity in shadow position on 3, 4, 5, 6

  • Two handed turns with face loop into closed frame on 7, 8, 1, 2, 3, 4


Transition 1 (1.5 counts of 8) -

  • 4 Sways in a clockwise circle

  • Quick dip, clockwise turn to two hand hold


Pattern 3 (2 counts of 8) -

  • Leader’s wrap into clockwise circle for a full 8 count

  • Leader spins out on 1, 2, face loop follower 3, 4

  • Right turning rock steps on 5, 6, 7, 8


Repeat Pattern 2


Transition 2 (2 counts of 8) -

  • Step side, step back, replace, feet together

  • Helicopter for 5, 6, 7, 8

  • Double clockwise turn for follower, broken turn for leader (side, forward, side, together)


Repeat Swing Pattern 


Ending (2 counts of 8) -

  • 4 Sways in a clockwise circle 5, 6, 7, 8, 1, 2

  • Prepare 3, 4, lift, 5, 6, 7, 8

  • Final dip
