Custom Dance Choreography - FAQs
What is the process like?
First, fill out the questionnaire along with the song(s) and ideas you have in mind. We will then reach out to you to discuss which package suits you best. Once we’ve received a deposit and a signed agreement from you, we will start crafting a dance based on your song choice, ideas, dance experiences, time frame and etc. Depending on the complexity of the choreography, you will receive a demo of your dance within 2-3 weeks. Before we finalize the choreography, you get to make 1 change to it without additional charges. Once you are satisfied with the choreography, we will produce a step-by-step instructional video to show you how to do the choreography. You can also schedule Skype dance lessons with us if you need additional help and instruction.
How long does it take for us to receive the instructional videos?
Depending on the complexity of the choreography, the demo videos can take 2-3 weeks to make. You can expect to receive all your instructional videos within 40 days after you’ve approved the choreography and paid your remaining balance. In some cases, we can expedite the process for an additional fee.
How will the videos be delivered?
All videos will be uploaded to Vimeo and you will be emailed private links to view them. You have 1 year access to the videos. Check out our Sample Videos.
How much time do we need to learn the choreography?
It really depends on the complexity of your dance and how fast you learn. We recommend giving yourself at least 3 months to learn a fully choreographed dance. So, if your event is only a month away, Custom Choreography may not be the best option for you. But you can still learn to dance through one of our Online Video Programs or by taking Virtual Lessons with us.
Can you edit our song?
Yes, song editing and mixing is available with an additional fee (starting at $60). And it is also a bonus service included in the package 4.
What is the ideal length of a first dance?
The ideal length of a first dance song is between 2.5 and 3 minutes long. Unless you are a professional dancer, dancing in front of people for more than 3 minutes could feel like forever! If your song is longer than 3 minutes, you can have your DJ fade out the music or your band play a shorter version of the song. We can also cut or edit your song for a fee.
