Here you will find all of the steps in your first dance! To learn this choreography, we suggest learning section by section, practicing without music, then incorporating music as you get more comfortable with the steps. Learn the Choreography

Package 3 | 9-11 Dance Moves

Intro (1 count of 8, 1 count of 10, 2 counts of 8) -

  • Walk in for the first count of 8

  • Step out to side by side, then walk to meet in the middle for 6 counts, sway on 7, 8 and 9, 10

  • Slow dance basic

  • Follower’s outside turn followed by leader’s outside turn


Pattern 1 (3 counts of 8, 1 count of 4) -

  • 3 Single swing basics

  • Leader’s wrap to inside turn

  • 3 Basics

  • Cradle, and slow down for an extra 4 counts


Chorus Pattern (1 count of 8, 1 count of 10) -

  • 2 Sways in cradle position on 1, 2 and 3, 4, roll out to side by side 5, 6, 7, 8

  • Switch places on 1, 2, 3, 4, come back in to touch hands on 5, 6, step back out 7, 8

  • Come into frame on 1, 2, repeat slow dance basic

  • Follower’s outside turn follower by leader’s outside turn

Pattern 2 (1 count of 8, 1 count of 10, 2 counts of 8) -

  • Helicopter in 2 hand hold for 6 counts, follower’s inside turn for 7, 8

  • Helicopter the other way for 6 counts, leader goes under the right arm for 7, 8

  • Step to side by side for 9, 10

  • Turn in towards each other on 1, 2, to get into back to back position on 3, 4

  • Two sways back to back on 5, 6 and 7, 8

  • Butterfly for 1, 2, 3, 4, duo turn on 5, 6, 7, 8


Pattern 3 (3 counts of 8, 1 count of 4) -

  • Single swing basic

  • Double face loop with inside turn

  • Basic

  • Leader’s wrap to inside turn

  • Leader’s wrap to cradle

  • Cradle circle for 5, 6, 7, 8

Repeat Chorus Pattern

Ending Pattern (2 counts of 8) -

  • Send out to hammerlock walk for a full 8 and 1, 2

  • Lasso on 3, 4, 5, 6

  • Roll into lean on 7, 8, and 1 as the song builds and fades
